Saint-Étienne Mine Museum founded in 1991 is dedicated to keep alive the former daily activity of a mine. The site, the Puits Couriot (115 ha) offers the possibility to visit a reconstructed gallery, the historical buildings of the former mine site and its permanent exhibitions.
