Villa dei Vescovi was constructed 1535-1542 as a summer residence for the archbishops of Padua. In addition to the beautiful grounds, the loggias and interiors contain magnificent frescoes by the Dutch painter Lambert Sustris, and are open to visitors and guests.

The villa, designed by according to the ideals of Giovanni Maria Falconetto (1468–1535), was sold to the Olcese family in 1962. The family donated it to the FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano) in 2005.

The large grounds include a vineyard, a walled garden and a little lake.

The villa is also a venue for corporate and private events, such as dinners, receptions, weddings...
