Villa Del Principe - Palazzo di Andrea Doria

Castles & Country Houses, Gardens & Parks, Private Collections
Villa Del Principe - Palazzo di Andrea Doria was built as a private residence for the admiral Andrea Doria in the 16th century. Surrounded by a beautiful garden, it is still in the hands of the Doria Pamphilj heirs, and open to the public.

The historic Admiral Andrea Doria (1466 – 1560) was an invaluable ally of Charles V in his wars against the French king Francis I.

The Doria Pamphilj family trust is also managing Palazzo Doria Pamphilj in Rome: see https://www.tripendy.com/location/palazzo-doria-pamphilj
