Von Gimborn Arboretum (27 ha), is dating back to 1924, when it was created by Max Th. von Gimborn as a private collection of conifers and ericaceous plants. Today it contains many other trees and shrubs as well.
The landscape garden was designed by Gerard Bleeker.
Since 1966 the Arboretum is owned by the University of Utrecht (see also: https://www.tripendy.com/location/utrecht-botanic-gardens)
