Zak, Branicka's focus is on Contemporary Art from Eastern European artists.
ZAK | BRANICKA gallery was founded in 2007 and specialises in Eastern European art, with a particular focus on art from Poland and the Balkans. The gallery represents classics from the 1970s and icons of the Eastern European Avant-Garde movement, such as Zofia Kulik – rediscovered by international audiences at Documenta XII – and Józef Robakowski, one of the most important pioneers of video art. In addition, ZAK | BRANICKA also collaborates with artists who play a crucial role in critical art and art from the time of The Turning Point – the end of the 1980s – for example the video and performance artist Katarzyna Kozyra.
