Alden Biesen Castle

Alden Biesen Castle has been used by the Teutonic Knights since the Middle Ages. They replaced it by a moated castle in the eighteenth century. The property came into government ownership in 1971 and has a re-created renaissance garden.
The Castle and gardens are open to the public.
Alden Biesen is also a venue for cultural, corporate events, such as concerts, conferences...
Since 1998, the Zomeropera in Alden Biesen is active. Every year again they have another top production. Previously realized operas are Don Giovanni, Le Nozze Di Figaro, Die Zauberflöte, La Traviata, Die Fledermaus, Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Carmen. And their offer continues to expand.
But there is also an extra option for children for years. 6 to 10 year olds experience their first unforgettable experiences here.
