The Art Pavilion Zagreb was established in 1898 by the initiative of the Croatian artist Vlaho Bucovac (1855 – 1922), and specialises in one-off solo and group exhibitions of works by both Croatian and foreign artists from all periods and styles. It does not have a permanent display.
The building was designed by the Austrian architects Fellner & Helme, who also designed the Croatian National Theatre.
