AVS-American Viola Society, founded in 1971 by Myron Rosenblum, is offering a substantial number of services such as the Primrose International Competition, the Gardner Composition Competition, and the Dalton Research Competition.
Furthermore it organizes the AVS Festival and encourages viola education, research, composition, including publications such as 'Journal of the American Viola Society', the AVS Studio Blog, Teacher's Toolbox...
The Society also has a Viola Bank, offering loans of instruments.
