Château de Martainville
Castles & Country Houses, Museums & Art Centres
Château de Martainville, now a museum for Traditions and Arts of Normandy, dates back to the 15th century when it was built for the Le Pelletier family.
This family extinguished in the course of the 18th century and the place was severely neglected afterwards.
The castle was revived after it became public property in 1955 to become the present museum.
