El Huerto del Cura, National Artistic Garden

El Huerto del Cura ('the Curate's orchard') is a 1.3 ha botanical garden, containing palm trees, in particular date palms, fruiting species and ornamental species. It includes also a pond.
The garden dates back to 1846 and became somewhat later property of Andres Castaño. In 1900 it was his son José, a priest, became owner. Hence the name of the orchard.
