The International May Choir Competition Prof. Georgi Dimitrov, dating back to 1975, in one of the most prestigeous choral competitions in Europe and is also member of of the Organizing Committee of the European Choral Grand Prix Competition.
In 1982 the competition was named after the famous Bulgarian composer Georgi Dimitrov – the founder of the modern Bulgarian choir school.
