l’Abbaye de la Cambre was founded in 1201. It has a medieval cloister and a nobleman's garden dating from the Baroque period. The terraced gardens date from eighteenth century and were restored by Jules Buyssens in 1930-32.
In Dutch, the abbey is called Abdij Ter Kameren.
