Magnum Photos, established in 1947 and with locations in New York, London, Paris and Tokyo, promotes the art of historic and contemporary photography, through exhibitions, prints, books and a regular presence at international art fairs.
Magnum was founded after WWII by four photographers – Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, George Rodger and David “Chim” Seymour.
Magnum Photos is a photographic co-operative owned by its photographer-members. Through its four editorial offices in New York, London, Paris and Tokyo, and a network of fifteen sub-agents, Magnum Photos provides photographs to the press, publishers, advertising, television, galleries and museums across the world.
