The National Gallery of Art, a division of the Lithuanian National Museum of Art, is dedicated to Lithuanian art of the 20th and 21st centuries and is also a multifunctional centre of art and culture. The permanent collection is exhibited in eleven galleries.
Furthermore the extensive building contains a grand hall for temporary exhibitions, an open-air exposition court, a multimedia auditorium for conferences and cultural events, an information centre, an educational centre, a bookshop and a café.
The gallery building is also a venue for receptions and gala dinners.
