Museums & Art Centres
The Sherlock Holmes Museum, opened in 1990, is dedicated to the literary character Sherlock Holmes, created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The museum, located in the splendid four-storey Georgian townhouse from 1815,  brings into life the period of 1881 to 1904, when Conan Doyle described Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Doctor Watson residing here as tenants of Mrs Hudson.
