Tjolöholm Castle is Sweden’s leading Arts and Crafts property, created between 1898 and 1904. The castle is surrounded by beautiful gardens.
The house, mainly in Tudor style, was built by James Fredrik and Blanche Dickson. After the death of their daughter Blanche, Countess Carl Bonde, the estate was bought by Gothenburg City Council and since 1987 the castle has been part of a trust fund, with Kungsbacka municipality as the responsibly authority.
The castle is open for tours daily during the summer and weekends the rest of the year. The trust is as private non-profit organization.
Tjolöholm Castle is also a Wedding venue.
