Washington International Competition

The Washington International Competition (WIC), established in 1950, occurs in a three-year rotation for piano, strings and voice, including a competition for composition of a string quartet held concurrently with the strings competition.        

Its goal is to support outstanding young classical musicians in their pursuit of professional careers.

The next WIC competition is the 2019 Washington International Competition for Voice, taking place in May 25-26.
