Williamson Park & Ashton Memorial

The Williamson Park is housing the iconic Ashton Memorial, built between 1907 and 1909 by the industrialist Lord Ashton, in memory of his (second) wife Jessy.
The park, covering 22 ha (54 acres) of park and woodland, also includes a Butterfly House, which serves formerly as a tropical palm house. The park dates from 1878, and was financed by the Williamson family.
The Williamson Park & Memorial, is also a venue for weddings.
