The University Botanical Garden Oslo, dating back to 1814 and part the University of Oslo, include over 5,500 plant types from around the world, grown in green houses and in different thematic gardens outside.
The Botanical Garden, located on the Tøyen estate, dates back to the 17th century and serves as an important recreational area in Oslo. The former Tøyen Manor house is reserved for temporary exhibitions and the café.
