The National Museum of Finland is dedicated to the cultural history of Finland, from the Stone Age to the present day, as well as the history world cultures from various parts of the world. Our programme consists of temporary exhibitions, short-term pop-up exhibitions and events as well as themed tours and workshops.
The museum building is in Finnish National Romantic style and is a part of the Finnish Heritage Agency, under the Ministry of Culture and Education. It was built from 1905 to 1910 and opened to the public in 1916.
