Bibliotheca Wittockiana
Museums & Art Centres
The Bibliotheca Wittockiana, opened in 1983, was founded by the private collector and industrialist, Michel Wittock, who had built up over the years an outstanding collection of books, manuscripts and autographs.
Today it has been recognized as a museum and is the only museum of the art and craft of bookbinding and an organiser of related projects.
In 2011, the founder of the Wittockiana created the Michel Wittock Foundation within the King Baudouin Foundation, in order to secure his collections for perpetuity.
