Botanical Garden Freiburg is a scientific research garden of the University of Freiburg. The garden contains some 8,000 species from alpine regions, dunes, heaths, marshes, and bogs.
It includes four display greenhouses for tropical plants, ferns, cacti and succulents.
The garden was created in 1620 and originally part of the Faculty of Medicine.
