The Churchill War Rooms, or also known as the Cabinet War Rooms, is a WW II top-secret basement offices, created in 1938, for the leading government ministers, military strategists and Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
The complex was the heart of Britain’s war machine, and remained exactly as it was left on the day the lights were switched off in 1945.
The Churchill War Rooms are today part of the Imperial War Museums, with five branches.
