Doddington Hall, as it presents today, was built in 1595-1600 by Thomas Tailor and has passed through the generations up to the present owners, Claire and James Birch. The House, garden and estate are open to the public.
The Hall contains many collections of furniture, weaponry, paintings, ceramics, textiles, household objects, porcelain and a wealth of amusing stories.
The grounds include a 5 acres of romantic gardens with magnificent bow edge parterres, beautiful borders, a kitchen garden and a wild garden.
It is also a venue for corporate, private and cultural events such as weddings, concerts and exhibitions.
The House is surrounded by 2 ha (5 acres) of spectacular gardens.
