Kruidtuin Leuven (2,2 ha), dating from 1738, is the oldest botanical garden of Belgium. Historically linked to the Catholic University of Leuven, nowadays the Botanical Garden is maintained by the municipality of Leuven.
The garden functions sometimes as a place of exhibition for contemporary art
