Lielstraupe Castle
Castles & Country Houses
The Lielstraupe Castle is a rare medieval castle Latvia, still preserved and closely linked to the von Rosen family. The Barons von Rosen owned the castle from the 13th century until 1625, and thereafter again from 1866 until 1939. Today the castle is managed by Pargauja County Municipality, which opened the castle for the public.
