The Musée Roybet Fould

Museums & Art Centres
Musée Roybet Fould, located in the Bécon Park in Courbevoie, presents works from the 19th century, including those by the painters Consuelo Fould (1862 – 1927) and her friend Ferdinand Roybet (1840-1920), as well as sculptures by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux (1827-1875)...

The museum is installed in the former Pavilion of Sweden and Norway, built for the 1878 Universal Exhibition, and constructed in the red pine of Norway. It was subsequently purchased by the Romanian Prince Georges Stirbey, who lived at the Château de Bécon. The property came later in the hands of one of his adoptive daughters, Consuelo Fould, who used the pavilion as her studio.
