Villa La Foce
Castles & Country Houses, Event, Film & Wedding Hire, Gardens & Parks
Villa La Foce dates back to the 15th century, but was mainly abandoned when it was bought in 1924 by Antonio and Iris Origo, a writer and horticulturalist. He turned it into a comfortable home and the garden was re-created by Cecil Pincent in Renaissance style.
The house is privately inhabited and parts of the gardens are open to the public, by guided tours, on weekends, certain holidays, and Wednesday afternoons.
It is available for rent either by the week or for events such as weddings and family celebrations, and is also available as a filming location.
