The Baur Foundation, Museum of Far Eastern Art

The Baur Foundation Museum of Far Eastern Art, displays a beautiful collection of some 9000 objects, containing Chinese imperial ceramic ware, jades and snuff bottles from the 10th to the 19th centuries, as well as Japanese prints, lacquer, netsuke, and sword fittings.
The collection was brought together by the Swiss collector Alfred Baur (1865-1951).
The museum has an active programme of activities, such as guided visits, workshops, tea tasting, tales and concerts, involving all five senses in a discovery of Far Eastern cultures, adapted to both adults and children.
