Beth Chatto Gardens were created by Beth Chatto OBE in 1960. She was an award-winning plantswoman, author and lecturer. Beth was still involved in the maintenance and development of her garden into her 90s.
Her Gravel Garden is world-renowned, and is never watered. The nursery has become one of the UK's leading plantsman's nurseries.
Today the garden business is managed by Julia Boulton, Berth's granddaughter.
