Heale Garden is a charming 16th century house, owned by the Greville family. It is surrounded by 3.2 ha (8 acres) 20th century garden, with terraces, ponds, roses...
The house was built by Sir William Greene, and after having changed hands several times, it was acquired by the Hon. Louis Greville in 1894. He enlarged the house to the East and to the North.
The garden was designed by Harold Peto.
A historic moment in the history of the house was in 1651, when Charles II took refuge here fro six nights, on his way to France.
