Endsleigh, formerly owned by the Dukes of Bedford, was acquired in 2005 by Mrs Olga Polizzi, who opened it as a private hotel. The house is surrounded by 44 ha (108 acres) of gardens, woodlands follies and grottos, and was the last creation of the landscape designer Humphry Repton in 1811.
