Museums & Art Centres
Lillehammer Art Museum, founded in 1921 as a gift from the merchant and collector Einar Lunde, houses a collection consisting of approx. 1500 works by Norwegian artists dating from the 1800s and until today. The museum organises several separate exhibitions a year, and offers a wide range of programmes, such as guided tours, lectures and other art events.
The main building designed by Snøhetta is today an architectural icon.
