The MAK - Austrian Museum of Applied Arts, dating back to 1864 as 'Imperial Royal Museum of Art and Industry', focuses today not only on traditional arts and crafts and design, but has also a particular interest in architecture and contemporary art.
The MAK features furniture, glass, china, silver, and textiles from the Middle Ages to the present day, such as products from the Wiener Werkstätte, bentwood furniture by Thonet and art nouveau items.
