Mozart's birthplace was the house where Mozart was born on 27 January 1756, and where the family lived on the third floor from 1747 to 1773. He was the seventh child of Leopold Mozart, a musician of the Salzburg Royal Chamber.
The museum, part of the Mozarteum Foundation, presents the domestic circumstances in which he grew up, when he began to play music, who were his friends and patrons, his relationship with his family, his passion for opera, and much more.
