The Museum Jan Cunen, housed in the 19th century 'Villa Constance', was founded by the city archivist Jan Cunen (1884-1940). It contains a fine art collection from around 1800 until the present day, and a regional archaeological and geological collection, as well as other interesting items.
The fine art collection includes paintings, works on paper, sculpture, photography, film and video art. It includes in particular a significant number of works from the Hague School.
