The Museums of the Basilica of Sant’Eustorgio includes the early Christian burial ground, the Chapter house, the monumental sacristy of the ancient Dominican monastery, and the Portinari Chapel.
The museum is located at the complex of the former Cloisters of Sant’Eustorgio, which dates back to the 4th century, and hosted from the 13th century until the late 18th century a Dominican monastery. It was unfortunately heavily destroyed in WW II. Restoration started in the 1980s, whereas today The Basilica and two museums are open to the public.
