The Royal Alcázar of Seville
Castles & Country Houses, Gardens & Parks
The Royal Alcázar of Seville is one of the oldest Royal Palace still in use in Europe. It includes magnificent interiors, courtyards, fountains, pools, recessed seats and numerous gardens, such as the largest late-medieval garden in Europe, a tank garden, the Grotto Gallery, a large labyrinth, pavilions, arches, galleries...
In fact the gardens have undergone many changes, even a New Garden was made in early 20th century.
The upper levels of the Alcázar are still the official residence in Seville of the royal family.
The palace can be visited by guided tour, and the gardens are free.
