Scott's Grotto
Gardens & Parks
Scott's Grotto was built in the 1760s by John Scott, a Quaker poet, on the grounds of then Amsell House, which he had inherited. The property doesn't exist anymore, but the grotto has been restored by the Ware Society, a local voluntary organisation.
It was reopened in 1991.
The grotto is open 1400-1630 on each Saturday and Bank Holiday Monday between April 1st and September 28th.
