Swiss National Museum contains a unique collection regarding the Swiss cultural history and applied arts, from its beginning up to the present day. The collection contains over 860.000 objects and is divided up into 14 different sections.
The museum is part of the Swiss National Museums group, which includes also the Landesmuseum Zürich, the Château de Pragnins, the Forum for Swiss History (Forum Schweizer Geschichte) and the Collections Center (Sammlungszentrum)
