Thirlestane Castle, dating back to the 16th century, is Family Home to the Duke of Lauderdale. Open to the public, it is one of the finest castles in Scotland and still remains home to the Maitland family today.
Thirlestane is also used for Film & Photo shooting, cultural, large-scale, corporate and private events, such as receptions, dinner parties, weddings... including offering accommodation.
