Monuments & Sites, Museums & Art Centres
The Vytautas Kasiulis Art Museum, housed in an elegant, renovated neoclassical building, is dedicated to Vytautas Kasiulis (1918 – 1995), a celebrated Lithuanian painter who was an exile in Paris after the annexation of their country by the Soviet Union.
The museum, a division of the Lithuanian National Museum of Art, features a permanent exhibition of the painter's collection donated to the country, as well as a national and international exhibition centre and a multi-functional hall for art education, cultural meetings, art promotion projects, concerts, book presentations, and other cultural events.
