Handel Festival Karlsruhe

Handel Festival Karlsruhe (Die Händel-Festspiele Karlsruhe) dates back to 1977 (Handel-Days) but is since 1985 an annual classical music festival dedicated to the work of Händel, around the 23th of February, his birthdate.
Since 1985 the festival has its own orchestra, the 'Deutschen Händel-Solisten'.
The festival cooperates also very closely with the International Handel Academy for masterclasses and symposia.
