Murano Glass Museum, founded in 1861 and located in Palazzo Giustinian on the island of Murano, is dedicated to history of glass, including local Murano glass. Its collection is one of the best in the world.
Palazzo Giustinian, built is in gothic style, was the ancient residence of Torcello bishops. Noteworthy is beautiful is the ceiling on the noble floor, decorated with a fresco by Vincenzo Zugno (1709 – 1787).
The Glass Museum is managed by the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia.
