The Žanis Lipke Memorial, opened in 2012, is dedicated to Žanis Lipke who saved in WW II from death over 50 Jews by hiding them in a bunker. The Memorial is located quite close to the original bunker, and designed in a way that it would reflect best the living conditions of the hiding occupants.
