Castles & Country Houses
Château de la Hunaudaye, a fortress dating back to 1220, is today public property and has been subject to restoration. It can be visited by guided tours and used for exhibitions, conferences and other events.
It has been built for the Tournemine family in 1220 and stayed in their hands until the 16th century. Through it heritage passed on to many different families until 1783 when it was acquired by the marquis de Talhouët. Unfortunately the château was destructed during the Revolution, including its furniture and archives.
