Cothay Manor dates back to the 14th century and is surrounded by a 4.9 ha (12 acres) garden laid out in the 1920s. The house is privately owned and inhabited by Mary-Anne and Alastair Robb.

The gardens were laid out in 1925 by Col. Reginald Cooper, who was a friend of Vita Sackville-West, Lawrence Johnston, Harold Nicholson and Gertrude Jeykell. 

Both house and garden have been carefully restored by the owners. The garden has different garden rooms with a bog garden, a cottage garden...

The house contains beautiful period furniture.

Cothay Manor is also a venue for corparate and private events, such as receptions dinner parties, weddings...

The House is open by guided tours and the gardens are open from April until September.
