Danson House is a beautiful Georgian villa, built in 1766 and designed by Sir Robert Taylor, the architect of the Bank of England. It is set in more than 80 ha (200 acres) of magnificent parkland overlooking the sparkling Danson Lake, with the stunning 200 years old Charter Oak. Danson House is now the official Register Office for the London Borough of Bexley (LBB).
The house, run by Kent County Council on behalf of the London Borough of Bexley, offers a wide range of ceremonies from weddings to citizenship, book appointments for notice of marriage, nationality checking services and the registration of births and deaths.
Every Sunday between March and October, the house is open to the public to enjoy a guided tour around the house with the lovely volunteers.
