Glamis Castle has been the seat of the Lyon family from the 14th century until the present day. It has also been the childhood home of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother and the birthplace of Her Royal Highness The Princess Margaret.
Today's owner is Simon Patrick Lord Glamis, 19th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne.
Glamis has a fascinating history, including being the setting for Shakespeare's Macbeth.
Glamis is also used for cultural and private events including, exhibitions, large-scale events, concerts, field sports, plays, weddings...
The 5,700 ha (14,0000) estate and castle, with the beautifully maintained gardens and grounds offer in addition excellent possibilities for Field Sports.
