The Black Watch Museum is housed in the historic Balhouise Castle, which probably dates back to the 12th century. The museum features a family collection focused on Scotland's oldest Highland Regiment.
The Museum holds uniforms, medals, photographs, weapons and military equipment, as well as an interesting art collection including 'Comrades, the 42nd Highlanders' by Robert Gibb, 'Archibald, Lord Montgomerie' by Angelica Kauffmann, and 'Colonel the Honourable John Maitland' by Joshua Reynolds.
Balhouise Castle is also a venue for corporate and private events such as meetings, receptions, weddings...
